Sleeping in airports

I spent last night (from 22:00 till 07:00) at Gatwick Airport north terminal departures level. There were over 50 other people doing the same thing! Interesting crowd those who choose to sleep at the airport. Surprisingly it was mostly older people. I remember trying to sleep at airports in California when I was much younger and at Victoria train station in London when I was 18. Those were some pretty miserable experiences! Armed with those memories I decided on a new approach... Just stay awake the whole night! I have some Ukrainian energy drinks and the lastest book from my 3rd favorite writer, so that's not a problem. I've got a free breakfast and a shower waiting for me in the British Airways first class lounge after I check in, and now it will be even easier to sleep on the plane. Life is good.

Where are you flying to next? For some reason your pictures don't show up on my computer here at work, so I'll have to check them out when I get home.

Who's your third favorite author? Douglas Coupland?

I'm at home now and my next flight is to San Francisco this weekend. It's a bit of a detour in my travel plans.

My third favorite author is Louise Wener and her new book is called The Half Life of Stars. She's a Brit and this just came out in the UK. I had been looking forward to picking it up on this trip for months now.

Coupland is still my favorite author but I won't be able to get my hands on a copy of JPod until the end of June. It's out May 9th in Canada right?
