Getting to Suriname

You have to cross this huge river, but as a foreigner I can't really cross here.



The ground transport in this part of Guyana (Berbice) is called the Tapir. Tapirs were last made in the 70's but here in Berbice they have managed to keep them alive and running, (and usually) colorfully decorated. I had to take one of these south to the ferry terminal to do the official crossing.
