Motorcycle camping trip

I decided to go on a little camping trip to see if I enjoyed it without having a car. This was the first time I'd been camping by myself and my first time camping in at least 17 years.

Arizona is an amazing place, 50 miles outside Phoenix and this is what the landscape looks like.

On the way I stopped at Jakes Corner. My parents have a picture of me standing next to this sign when I was really young.

Another 50 miles and it's all pine trees. My camp site is on the other side of this ridge.

Tent all set up. I made a big mistake with the ground cover. You can see it sticking out from underneath the tent on my right hand side. This allowed water to get trapped between the ground cover and the bottom of the tent when it rained.

Another great thing about Arizona is that a completely soaked tent and sleeping bag can dry in the sun in no time at all.
