Home cookin' in Ocnita

Moldova!

These posts mark the border between Ukraine and Moldova. I've now been to every UN recognized country (47) with all or part of it's territory within the geographical boundaries of Europe.

Ocnita would be my Moldovan home for the next few days.

Even rural Moldova has grand monuments to the Great Patriotic War.

Пузата Хата (Puzata Hata) - Hut of the Pot Belly!

A cafeteria chain serving traditional hearty Ukrainian meals. Surprisingly cheap and totally delicious, I ate at these many times on my trip and never had the same thing twice. They have awesome pastries too, the one at the top of this photo was incredible. Check out the cute little logo on the napkins, a sight for sore eyes when arriving in another Ukrainian city after a long train ride.
