Another day, another island - Taiwan layover

I had just enough time in Taipei to visit the worlds 5th tallest freestanding structure, Taipei 101. It's currently the worlds tallest completed building by three of the four measurements used to figure who's building is the tallest. Confused? Well lets just say it's pretty darn tall...



and barely enough time to do some shopping at Carrefour! I've lost track now of how many countries have Carrefour and how many I've been to. I think they have been expanding a lot in the past year or so and I'm getting behind.

Big bird

Flying out of LAX I caught my first glimpse of an Airbus A380, Qantas is now flying them to Sydney and Melbourne. I have been thinking about Australia a lot lately (mostly as a gateway to the South Pacific islands) and maybe it's time to go back (It has been almost 6 years since I was there). Anyway it will have to wait, I've got more of Asia to explore first.
