Colorado; save the mountains for later, it's time to play in the sand!

My first stop in Colorado was Grand Sand Dunes National Monument. I've always been intrigued with the fact that here, in the most unlikely place, is a giant pile of sand.

Taos Pueblo

Yemen isn't the only place where you can find multistory mudbrick structures that have been continuously inhabited for over a thousand years. Yemen's of course are much more beautiful but the houses of the Pueblo People have an ingenious functionality that makes them pretty cool too. And could you imagine walking through the Rio Grande Valley and coming across these buildings 1000 years ago!

Road trip!

I haven't done a serious road trip in over three years. Time to cover some new states, but first a familiar one.



My first stop, the Very Large Array radio telescope, near Datil, New Mexico.
