Before arrival I thought that fuul was the national dish of Egypt. But in Cairo anyway it's this - Koshary.


The Dahab hotel, another place I saw on Globe Trekker. At $4 a night it's not the cheapest place in town but it is pretty nice. I have a room to myself and the roof top setting is great.

Carrefour shopping trip. This is Carrefour country number 16 for me and continent number 4! I bought a jar of Date jam for my collection, my usual box of orange juice, a box of organic dates (my Mom and brother will be proud), a can of Fuul, some candy bars and some really good granola bars.
